There were a lot of great things about my recent spring break cruise on Royal Caribbean’s Oasis of the Seas with my daughter Sally. Certainly, one of the best for my daughter was the Barbie Premium Experience.
One thing I didn’t write about in the story was that Sally and I also had use of the ship’s Concierge Club. The concierge can book dinner reservations, arrange show times, help with shore excursions, help with disembarkation and travel arrangements and much more.
Guests also can get breakfast in the club, as well as pre-dinner cocktails and snacks. Plus, the staff there was just so nice.
Certainly, families (or a father traveling alone with his daughter!), will really appreciate their help with logistics and their rapport with kids. But I really believe that all passengers could benefit from the personal service the concierge provides — especially on a large ship like the Oasis.
Travel agents should be sure to discuss the concierge program with their clients. It may end up to be the best value of their vacation.
