Mekong Pandaw was built in Yangon and underwent a complete refit in Saigon at the end of 2013 that included reducing the number of cabins from 32 to 24. This ship is a replica of the colonial teak and brass steam vessel that harkens back to the company's beginning as the Irrawaddy Flotilla Company, founded in 1865. Pandaw was the first to offer luxury Mekong cruises. A portion of the fare goes to a local charity.
