Puerto Caldera is a commercial port with a cruise ship terminal that serves as a disembarking location for nearby Puntarenas, which is 20-minutes away by taxi. If your ship stops at Puerto Caldera, you won't find much to see or do. There's no town—Puerto Caldera is merely a jumping-off point.
