Karisma Honors Agents at GIVC Awards

The annual event rewards top procuding agents

Karisma hosted the Third Annual Gourmet Inclusive Vacation Consultant (GIVC) Awards on Dec. 3 a the El Dorado Royale. The gala awards ceremony was attended by more than 350 people, including tour operators, staff, hotel executives and media as well as 175 travel agents.

Agents took home awards in more than 15 categories including Best Marketing, Top New Agents, Most Improved Agents, Top Homebased Agents and Top Homebased Agents as well as various categories for top producing agents. Each year a Hall of Fame winner is selected. This award is given to an individual who has made a significant difference to the El Dorado Spa Resorts & Hotels and Azul Hotels organization by the actions taken throughout the year that resulted in an overall increase in business. The year’s Hall of Fame winner was Ed Cotton of DestinationWeddings.com in Framingham, Mass.

Agents attending this year’s event had a chance to engage in face-to-face events, including marketing and business seminars, a cocktail reception, site inspections at the brand-new Azul Fives, as well as improvements at Azul Sensatori and Azul Beach Hotel.

Activities, which were provided by Lomas Travel, also included snorkeling and fishing excursions and tours to Chichen Itza.
