Aqua Oasis, a Joy Hotel — the latest offering from Aqua Hospitality — recently made its debut in Waikiki. Formerly the Waikiki Joy, the 96-room property recently completed a $2.5 million renovation and now sports what officials call an “urban-loft-meets-Hawaii” vibe in its suites and loft-like apartments. Guestrooms feature playful design touches such as bold patterns and bright color accents, while the open lobby space has been turned into a gathering place for guests.

Aqua’s senior vice president of sales and marketing Elizabeth Churchill predicted that the hotel will draw “a diverse audience of design-savvy travelers, families and groups.” Amenities include a Japanese restaurant, swimming pool and karaoke lounge. Room rates come with daily continental breakfast and Internet access.
