Families researching colleges in Northern California can now add a stay at Hotel Paradox, in Santa Cruz, to their itineraries.

From now through Oct. 23, the hotel’s Love ’Em + Leave ’Em package will equip potential future students and their families with a “Back to School Survival Kit,” along with a $100 food and beverage credit and two complimentary cocktails. Rates for the package start at $429.

The modern boutique hotel was transformed from a university inn and conference center in 2012, and it features 170 urban-forest inspired rooms and suites, eco-friendly bath amenities and an environmental program.

Guests can also enjoy its Solaire Restaurant + Bar for modern American cuisine.
