Following the success of Hotel Week NYC, the first-ever Hotel Week LA is launching in Los Angeles Nov. 29 to Dec. 14.
Why It Matters:
Hotel Week NYC was created by hotel marketer Nancy J. Friedman to address the occupancy dip most hotels experience before and after the holiday season, while also providing participating hotels an opportunity to expand their brand awareness. Fourteen Los Angeles hotels have already signed up for the West Coast debut of the event, which will offer weeklong discounts at celebrated L.A. hotels — many of which normally charge upward of $500 per night — giving guests the opportunity to book rooms for just $200 or $300 per night. These savings not only give travelers an excuse to try a new top-tier hotel, they give travel agents an opportunity to promote travel in a traditionally slow period.
- Properties signed up for the inaugural Hotel Week LA include Hotel Erwin, Loews Santa Monica Beach Hotel, Sixty Beverly Hills, Avalon Hotel Beverly Hills and The Redbury.
- Hotel Week NYC is entering its fourth year with 25 participating hotels.
What They Are Saying:
“Hotel Week LA is a win-win for both visitors and hotels,” Friedman said. “The reduced rates give guests a chance to treat themselves to the best hotels in Los Angeles and New York for a fraction of the cost, and the promotion gives hotels an opportunity to book unoccupied rooms and simultaneously win over new visitors.”
