Tapping into Hawaii’s deep connection to the sea, the Kahala Hotel & Resort has come up with a package that provides aquatic fun for its guests. Created in partnership with the Hans Hedemann Surf School — named after the award-winning professional surfer — the Kahala Waterman package is available for stays from Sept. 1 to Dec. 19, 2014.
For each day of their vacation at the Honolulu resort, clients can take part in one of four group activities: surfing, stand-up paddleboarding, outrigger canoeing or pole fishing. The deal also includes a waterman certificate and a T-shirt, two pairs of Maui Jim sunglasses, daily buffet breakfast for two and a discount at the hotel’s new Tori Richards Hawaiian clothing store. Nightly rates start at $495 with a five-night minimum.
