Lindblad Expeditions-National Geographic has announced the newest addition to its fleet: National Geographic Venture, set to make its inaugural voyage in June 2018. The vessel will make its debut just one year after its sister ship, National Geographic Quest.
Both ships are made in America; Venture is currently being built in Seattle.
Twenty-two of the 50 cabins on Venture will have step-out balconies, and passengers traveling with their families or in larger groups can choose to stay in one of six sets of connecting cabins. Each cabin will come with a variety of outdoor equipment — such as kayaks and snorkeling gear — for guests to use at each stop.
Venture’s maiden voyage will be a two-week trip in June to Alaska and British Columbia, followed by eight sailings in Alaska and six voyages in the San Juan Islands and British Columbia.
