Today at Nasdaq MarketSite, located in New York City’s Times Square, Playa Hotels & Resorts commemorated its position as the first and only publicly-traded company (PLYA) that exclusively works in the all-inclusive hospitality market. Bruce Wardinski, chairman and CEO of Playa, rang the closing bell.

Attendees at the event included Paul Hackwell, Hal Stanley Jones and Elizabeth Lieberman, members of Playa’s Board of Directors; Robert Sullivan, President of Northstar Travel Group (parent company of TravelAge West); Kimberly Manna, CEO of Panama Jack; Carlos Cabrera, senior vice president of global all inclusive operations for Hyatt; John Ische, CEO and president of Trisept Solutions; Ray Snisky, executive vice president and CCO of the Mark Travel Corporation; and Eduardo Tamraz, vice president at TPG Capital.

“Our arrival on Nasdaq is an important milestone for us and marks the next step in our growth in the all-inclusive hospitality sector,” Wardinski said. “It offers our stakeholders the opportunity to re-imagine all-inclusive hotels and resorts — and for our guests to experience what an all-inclusive can be.”
