A new 750-room resort complex that features both an adults-only Hyatt Zilara hotel and a family-friendly Hyatt Ziva will open in Cap Cana in the Dominican Republic, marking the first Ziva/Zilara opening on the island. The opening is part of a long-term expansion plan from Playa Hotels & Resorts, which currently operates six all-inclusive Ziva/Zilara hotels throughout Mexico and Jamaica.
“Hyatt Zilara Cap Cana and Hyatt Ziva Cap Cana mark the next step in Playa’s long-term strategy to expand our resorts throughout the Caribbean,” said Bruce Wardinski, chairman and CEO of Playa. “Our expansion into Cap Cana in the Dominican Republic accomplishes what has been a long-term goal and complements both our growing portfolio and consumer demand.”
