CruiseWorld, a Travel Weekly event, has opened registration for its 2013 trade show, taking place Nov. 6-10 in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. The event has been revamped for this year, featuring the new tagline, “Launching Travel Expertise on Land, Air and Sea,” and now features a one-day trade show and a 4½-hour exhibitor showcase.
The showcase will serve as a “shopping day” dedicated to matching attendees with suppliers’ products and services, complete with events throughout the day and ending with a reception hosted by the Greater Fort Lauderdale CVB. In addition, an appointment component has been added to the tradeshow (available for an additional fee). To defray travel costs, CruiseWorld will award 100 scholarships to qualified travel agents, some of whom may also be asked to participate in a new mentoring program.
