Sir Rocco Forte, chairman of Rocco Forte Hotels, recently announced that the brand aims to double its number of properties in the next five years. As part of this plan, the hotel group, which currently is composed of 10 properties, will make its first move into the Asia Pacific market.

Rocco Forte Hotels will partner with Longhua International to be part of Longhua International Aviation Service Center, an urban complex in Shanghai’s Xuhui Riverside area. The yet-to-be-named 280-room property, scheduled to open in 2018, will feature dedicated business and government offices, retail and fashion outlets and recreational spaces. Later this year, the brand will open Assila Hotel and Residence in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
