Silversea Cruises recently introduced Silver Simplicity, a simplified sales program for groups. Silver Simplicity is available for new group bookings on all future 2014 and 2015 voyages and replaces Silverseas’ Group Amenity Point program.
“Our aim with Silver Simplicity is to help travel agents increase their group business by simplifying our policies and making it as easy as possible to sell to groups,” said Kristian Anderson, senior vice president and general manager for North America. “Instead of dealing with a complicated point system that varies from voyage to voyage, travel agents can now take advantage of a standard group program offered on all voyages, or an enhanced program available on select sailings.”
The Standard Group Program, which requires booking a minimum of five full-fare suites to qualify, provides one complimentary tour conductor berth per nine guests; a $200 onboard spending credit per suite for voyages up to nine days long; and a $300 credit for voyages 10 days or longer. Travel agents will also receive a bonus commission.
Enhanced groups, which are listed in the Communications section of My Silversea, provide a complimentary tour conductor berth per five guests; a $200 spending credit per suite for cruises up to nine days long; a $300 credit for voyages 10 days or longer, plus a bonus commission. Only three full-fare suites are required to qualify.
Travel agents with existing 2014 or 2015 groups departing July 1 or later booked under the previous GAP program have the option to convert to Silver Simplicity if they wish.
