Avanti Destinations recently hosted several travel advisor events in Southern California to promote its new itineraries in Asia. The three-stop tour, which visited San Jose, Los Angeles and Orange County, Calif., allowed travel advisors to mingle with Avanti executives — including Mark Grundy, managing director of Asia for the company — and to learn more about the tour operator’s eight new destinations: Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, South Korea and Taiwan, with a stopover in Dubai.

A new promotional video that delved into the specific details of each destination was also shown. The video, as well as shorter clips on each destination, will be available for agents to use for promotional purposes.

In addition to Avanti executives and top travel consultants, representatives from several Asia tourism boards — including Singapore, Japan and the Philippines — were in attendance, along with a representative from Cathay Pacific Airways.
