From May 26 to 29, Avoya Travel held its largest-ever annual conference in San Diego. The four-day event brought together Avoya Independent Agencies, supplier partners and Avoya support staff to innovate and improve vacation experiences for travelers.

The program included keynote addresses from industry leaders such as Vicki Freed of Royal Caribbean International and Steve Born of Globus Family of Brands. Avoya also revealed a new brand strategy and new programs for its Independent Agency Network. Independent Agencies participated in a trade show, workshops and networking events, as well as a food-packing event that provided more than 70,000 meals to earthquake victims in Nepal.

“This year’s conference [celebrated] a record number of attendees, record sales by the Independent Agencies in our network and a chance for all attendees to meet a record number of Avoya staff who support our Shared Success model,” said Jeffrey Anderson, executive vice president of Avoya.
