Hotel partners, art buffs and prominent New York City residents assembled for Park Hyatt New York’s opening event on Sept. 3. Positioned in Midtown Manhattan, the luxury 210-guestroom hotel takes up the first 25 floors of the One57 skyscraper and is across the street from the historic Carnegie Hall.

Mark Hoplamazian, president and CEO of Hyatt Hotels Corporation, and Thomas Pritzker, executive chairman of the board of directors for Hyatt, hosted the celebration. The event aided Studio in a School and featured various art pieces created by the nonprofit organization’s participants. Guests also enjoyed small bites, including pistachio pastries from Scott Cioe, a pastry chef at Park Hyatt, and a savory variety from Sebastien Archambault, an executive chef at Park Hyatt.

“The opening of Park Hyatt New York marks a significant milestone for the Park Hyatt brand, giving it representation in a key market and boosting the brand’s global visibility,” said Katherine Melchior Ray, vice president of luxury brands for Hyatt. “It introduces a new way of defining and delivering luxury for both guests and locals.”
