Malta Tourism Authority (MTA) Board has appointed Paul Bugeja as its new CEO, replacing Josef Formosa Gauci. Bugeja most recently served as chief financial officer for the hotels operating divisions and group monitoring board director of Corinthia Hotels, as well as president of the Malta Hotels & Restaurants Association.

“This past year, with the appointment of an MTA representative in the U.S., Michelle Buttigieg, based in New York City, MTA has already made great strides in reestablishing Malta Tourism’s official presence in this mostly untapped market,” said Bugeja.
