The Details

With its folklore and fire-knife dancing, a new show is lighting up the Waikiki entertainment scene. “Myth, Hidden Legends of Old Hawaii” is a production featuring a cast of dancers and singers who portray notable island gods and goddesses and plot lines ranging from love and jealousy to betrayal.

The colorful stage show was written and directed by Carrington Manaola Yap, a well-respected local artist and cultural practitioner. Clients can catch the spectacle on Wednesdays and Fridays in Sheraton Princess Kaiulani’s Ainahau Showroom. The evening begins with a hula lesson for attendees.

Rates range from $75 to $140 per person.
