Recently, Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts and tour operator TCS & Starquest Expeditions teamed up to offer what many consider a trip of a lifetime — the chance to travel around the world by a private jet. The first trip sold out, with 35 percent of bookings coming from travel agents. A new Around the World by Private Jet trip has been announced and will follow the same itinerary, which features some of the world’s best cities, islands and landmarks.

The 22-day itinerary will depart from Los Angeles on Sept. 30, 2012, and conclude in the U.K. on Oct. 21, 2012.

Around the World By Private Jet takes place on a specially outfitted Boeing 757 and visits the following destinations: Kona, Hawaii; Bora Bora, French Polynesia; Sydney and Ayers Rock, Australia; Bali, Indonesia; Chiang Mai or Chiang Rai Thailand; the Taj Mahal and Mumbai, India; and Cairo, the Pyramids and the Sphinx, Egypt.

The in-flight experience is provided by TCS & Starquest Expeditions and includes a one-to-five crew member to traveler ratio; two-by-two VIP-style seating; and expedited customs and immigration formalities wherever possible.

Both trips will feature a team of expert lecturers who will discuss the visited destinations’ histories, cultures, role in the modern global economy as well as art and architecture. Experts will use a special in-flight multimedia system for lectures and discussions. Jets will feature a library with reference books and other materials.

Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts will provide all accommodations as well as most of the dining experiences. A Four Seasons concierge will join the in-flight crew and serve as the main liaison with Four Seasons members on the ground. The concierge will be able to arrange for private tours, spa treatments, tee-times and more during any point of the trip.

Ground itineraries highlight each location’s local sights and specialties but are flexible enough for clients to customize.

Prices begin at $66,950, per person, based on double occupancy. A single supplement is available for $8,500. In Chiang Rai, Thailand, an optional accommodation upgrade is available for $3,950. The original departure takes place on Oct. 29 to Nov. 19, 2012 and is sold out but still accepting waitlist applications.
