The rate of the cruise beings at $1,399 for both travel agents and companions, based on double occupancy. Government and port taxes are an additional $199 per person and a single supplement is available for an additional 50 percent of the price. Round-trip transfers can be added for an additional $80 or free when using Sterling Vacation’s economy airfare. Stateroom upgrades are available for an additional cost.
Sterling Vacations is giving agents an opportunity to sail the Danube River and visit ports in Austria, Slovakia, Hungary, Croatia, Serbia, Bulgaria and Romania over a span of 12 days. The cruise starts in Vienna, Austria, where travelers will be able to see landmarks such as Belvedere Palace and St. Stephan’s Cathedral. The ship then makes its way to Bratislava, Slovakia, and includes a morning walking tour to sights such as St. Marten’s Cathedral and the city’s Old Town. Other highlights include stops in Budapest and Kalosca, Hungary, where guests will spend three days; a morning in Vukovar, Croatia’s largest river port; time in Novi Sad and Belgrade, Serbia; and a sailing through “The Iron Gates.” The cruise will then make a stop in Vidin, Bulgaria, which is home to the 13th-century Baba Vida fortress before disembarkation in Bucharest, Romania. Rates include all meals and accommodations, daily sightseeing and shore excursions, and onboard activities.
