$1,675 per person for WITIA members that register before May 1, based on double occupancy. Guests and industry non-members registering before May 1 pay $1,775 per person. After May 1, prices increase to $1,775 per person for members and $1,875 for non-members. Travelers may pay an additional $495 for a single room. WITIA membership for tourism professionals is approximately $59.
Travel with WITIA members from all over the world on this seven-night, land-only adventure in Sri Lanka. Highlights include three UNESCO World Heritage sites: the astounding rock fortress at Sigiriya, the Dambulla Cave temple with its ancient frescoes and Dalada Maligawa, the “Temple of the Tooth” located in Kandy. Guests will also partake in two elephant interactions, first at the elephant orphanage at Pinnawela and then at a natural gathering at Mannerly. A rail journey up to the mountain tea plantations, beach time at Bentota on the Indian Ocean, a tour of the capital city Colombo and an optional tour to the colonial-era Dutch fortress of Galle are also on the itinerary. The package includes networking opportunities with local tourism professionals, WITIA educational elements, English-speaking guides, accommodations at Taj and Heritance properties and most meals. Exciting pre- and post-tour options are available to India and the Maldives as well.
