Far & High Adventure Travel’s 13-day fam trip to Mongolia will begin in the capital of Ulaanbaatar, where advisors can take a sightseeing tour to visit the city’s highlights, including Gandantegchinlen Monastery and its gigantic golden Buddha statue; Sukhbaatar Square; Bogd Khan Palace; and Zaisan Memorial, which was constructed to honor the fallen Soviet Union soldiers during World War II. A domestic flight will then take travelers to the Gobi Desert and the Yol Valley. Other highlights include a day trip to Khongoryn Els; a drive to Bayanzag (the Flaming Cliffs); time at Gorkhi-Terelj National Park, Hustai National Park and Khogno Khan Natural Reserve; and an excursion to Karakorum, the ancient capital of the Mongol Empire. The rate includes accommodations, most meals, sightseeing, domestic airfare, ground transportation and guided services.
