Uniworld Launches Ooh La La Travel Agent Promotion

In celebration of Uniworld Boutique River Cruises’ 2014 season, the launch of their newest super ship, S.S. Catherine, and their newest destination, Bordeaux, France, the river cruise company has launched the “Ooh La La” travel agent promotion, giving travel agents the chance to win one of three great France boutique river cruises.

When travel agents book any 2014 Uniworld boutique river cruise through Oct. 31, 2013, they are entered for a chance to win one of three France boutique river cruises for them and a guest. The more travel agents book, the more chances they have to win one of the following prizes:

“2014 is going to be a wonderful year for us, especially with the introduction of all-inclusive cruising in Europe, our new Super Ship, S.S. Catherine, and a new region, Bordeaux, France,” said Guy Young, President of Uniworld.

The S.S. Catherine, which is the sister ship to Uniworld’s awarding-winning S.S. Antoinette, will share the same exquisite standards and scrupulous attention to detail reflected throughout the company’s award-winning fleet and will be designed by the renowned design team of Uniworld’s sister company, The Red Carnation Hotel Collection.

The S.S. Catherine will be styled to reflect her new home along the Rhône and Saône rivers of breathtaking Burgundy and Provence. Uniworld’s River Royale, currently sailing these rivers, will move to her new home in Uniworld’s newest destination, France’s breathtaking Bordeaux region. She will also undergo a redesign including a new dining area on the sundeck – similar to L’Orangerie Lounge on the S.S. Antoinette.

“We wanted to share our excitement with our travel agent partners and give them an opportunity to experience the pleasure of France with us,” said Young. “I am confident our S.S. Catherine will elevate the standard in luxury river cruising in France, and our addition of Bordeaux, which is one of my favorite places, will be well received by all.”

In addition to Uniworld’s new super ship and new itineraries in France, the company will also be looking back at the past with a focus on Normandy to commemorate the 70th anniversary of D-Day. In 2014, special events are planned on the 8-day “Paris & Normandy,” 15-day “Grand France” and 15-day “A Portrait of Majestic France” itineraries. Featured World War II Memorial events include the D-Day Museum at Arromanches and the option for Uniworld guests to visit either the Normandy American Cemetery and Memorial or Juno Beach Centre.

On these three expertly planned itineraries, guests have the special opportunity to visit the Normandy Beaches Allied Landing Sites, Omaha Beach and the American Cemetery at Colleville-sur-Mer—a haunting and historic reminder of the Allied forces’ hard fight for freedom.
