This winter, Anchorage-based Salmon Berry Tours will offer a new winter mushing program in partnership with Dallas Seavey Racing, a tour provider that specializes in all things Iditarod.

The four-hour adventure includes a dog sled ride, snowshoe stroll and the chance to meet and learn about the equipment, mushers and dogs needed to compete in the Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race. Available through March 30, the dog sled tour costs $189 per person, and Salmon Berry Tours can pick guests up at their Anchorage hotels.

Salmon Berry Tours offers a variety of scheduled and custom tours across Southcentral and Interior Alaska that are ideal for groups or individual travelers. Other popular winter tours include the Ultimate Iditarod Adventure Package, the Northern Lights Late-Night Special, Winter Turnagain Turnaround Tour and others.
