In response to a 15percent increase in sales for Cruise West’s Gold Rush Inside Passage voyage, the line has added two additional Alaska departures, for a total of 12 cruises. With the new Gold Rush Inside Passage sailings, clients have more opportunities to cruise between Seattle and Juneau at the beginning and end of the season on the 138-guest Spirit of Yorktown, 102-guest Spirit of Endeavour, 78-guest Spirit of Columbia and 84-guest Spirit of Discovery.
“We are responding to our guests’ preference for longer cruises embarking or disembarking from a major U.S. port like Seattle. While the value proportion is tremendous, it’s the small-ship exploration experience combined with a comprehensive itinerary that includes Alaska’s Inside Passage, Glacier Bay National Park, cruising through Northern British Columbia and the San Juan Islands that makes this such a sought-after itinerary,” said Richard Genovese, vice president of sales and marketing, Cruise West.
The 10-night cruise offers a revised itinerary with visits to the authentic Tsimshian community of Metlakatla and to the fishing village of Petersburg. In addition, guests can enjoy a scenic sea and wildlife cruise along the Straight of Georgia, which was not on the original itinerary.
The Gold Rush Inside Passage voyage offers 10 nights for the price of seven, with rates beginning at $3,599 per person, based on double occupancy. The cruise must be booked and paid in full by Nov. 20 in order to qualify for savings of up to $500 per person.
