On June 11 and 12, the First Annual Taste of Juneau Food and Music festival will present live music, family-friendly activities and fresh Alaskan cuisine at Savikko Park and Sandy Beach. All events aim to capture of the culture of the Juneau community.

Visitors can roam a village of tents and stages that will feature local acts, dance groups, eating-contests, beer and wine gardens, chef competitions, artist activities, food vendors and more. Food vendors will include Tracy’s King Crab Shack, Abby’s Kitchen, the Westmark Baranof, Sunshine Smoothies, Garfield’s Indian Fried Bread and Big Mike’s BBQ.
Saturday is the main event for featured musical acts including Phoenix rock band, The Crown Kings, and the Seattle pop band, Shoreline Drive, whose lead singer is a Juneau native. Sunday will be a more family-orientated day, filled with fun activities for children and adults alike, such as face-painting, cooking classes for kids and karaoke.

Single-day admission for adults is $20 (weekend passes are $30). Admission is free for children under 12 years of age.
