To celebrate 30 years of Alaska exploration, Lindblad Expeditions is introducing the Undersea Alaska program, a new adventure designed to take travelers deeper into the Alaska experience than ever before.
On the new tour — which will be the first of its kind for Lindblad — an Undersea Specialist will dive to depths of 40 to 80 feet, using strong lights and an HD camera to capture the underwater world while passengers sail above. Special presentations will showcase the ocean’s food chain, from tiny sea floor organisms to sea lions and whales. The ship’s state-of-the-art deployable hydrophone will also allow guests to hear animal vocalization over the PA during the voyage.
Those who book Exploring Alaska’s Coastal Wilderness by March 31, 2012, can receive free roundtrip airfare between Seattle and Alaska on select May and June departures. Rates begin at $5,990 per person, based on double occupancy.
