InnerSea Discoveries will offer three Alaska Unleashed departures in the summer of 2013, promising longer and more exhilarating explorations of Southeast Alaska.

Sailing between Juneau and Ketchikan and reverse, the weeklong adventures will include an onboard regional expert, reduced capacity from 60 to 36 guests and small-group adventure activities including hiking and kayaking. Areas explored include Misty Fjords National Monument, Revillagigedo Island, Behm Canal, Thomas Bay, Baird Glacier, Frederick Sound, Stephen’s Passage and more. Excursions are included and led by guides, and guests can choose to be as active as they wish with extended activities such as kayaking, hiking, paddleboarding, snorkeling, skiff excursions to shore and whale watching.

“Although every un-cruise adventure includes outdoor activities, we’ve heeded the call to cater to guests looking for high-adventure, multi-sport activities on a daily basis,” said Tim Jacox, executive vice president of sales and marketing. “This is for the person who enjoys challenging themselves outside and feels happy coming home tired and maybe a bit dirty."

Departures will take place June 8, July 13 and Aug. 10, 2013. InnerSea recommends this expedition for guests who regularly engage in physical activity equal to a 25 mile bike ride or a 5 mile run/hike.
