In 2013, Kenai Fjords Wilderness Lodge on Fox Island will unveil its new main lodge and open its doors to visitors. The lodge will feature a spacious dining area, a lounge for relaxing and views of Resurrection Bay. Foodies will love the lodge's expanded kitchen and an innovative culinary program. Each stay also includes a Resurrection Bay Tour, a national park ranger presentation, a guided naturalist walk, appetizer hour and all meals prepared by the island's private chef. Clients can also add guided kayaking or upgrade to a premium wildlife and glacier cruise.

With only eight cabins, space is limited, so clients should book early for the summer season. From May 31 to Sept. 2, the lodge is offering the Fox Island Overnight package which includes a one-night, all-inclusive stay and a cruise to Fox Island. The package starts at $489 per person, based on double occupancy.
