Summer Art Potpourri, the Anchorage’s annual craft event, returns to Alaska with a wide display of locally-made treasures. From 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily in June and July, the museum will host a revolving list of Alaskan artists specializing in handmade jewelry, woodwork, apparel and more. All artists on display will have work for sale and some will also offer demonstrations of their craft.
Each year, artists apply for the opportunity to display their wares at the juried Summer Art Potpourri. They are selected by a committee of artists and museum staff. The annual event is put on by the Anchorage Museum, the largest museum in Alaska and one of the top 10 most visited attractions in the state.
