Those looking for frightful fun this Halloween should look no further than Scottsdale. Located in the Sonoran Desert, this holiday hot-spot is perfect for a safe and unforgettable experience of Halloween for all ages.

Visitors can stay at the Westin Kierland Resort & Spa from $299 a night beginning Oct. 31 for great family entertainment. Activities include Fun Team activities, such as a costume relay race, trick-or-treating and a Monster Bash, Kierland “Klue,” a family crime mystery and the annual pumpkin decorating contest.

For stylish fine dining, check out Old Town Scottsdale’s hottest restaurant, Canal. Featuring food, fashion and entertainment, Canal will have disc jockeys spinning and an illuminated runway where the “costume walk-off” competition is held, not to mention chef Justin Beckett’s specialty-themed menu.

Those with fall nightlife in mind can stop by the Sanctuary Resort’s jade bar as well as the brand new edge bar for a “spirited” group of Halloween cocktails including the “ghostini” and “witch’s brew.”

What would Halloween be without a haunted house? Rawhide’s annual “Doomtown” returns this year, featuring two eerie houses by Cryptic Illusions. Don’t miss the Rawhide Roughriders stunt show, and look out for the Crypt Keeper!
