The JW Marriott Starr Pass Resort & Spa is ringing in 2012 with the Tucson Jazz Society’s 6th Annual New Year’s Eve Gala, entitled “All Jazz, All Night.” Trumpet player and jazz vocalist Rick Braun is returning to Starr Pass Resort for the event with a lineup featuring contemporary jazz artist Euge Groove and Grammy-nominated singer, guitarist and songwriter Jonathan Butler. Grammy nominated artists of Sylvan Street will kick off the event, which begins at 8 p.m. on Dec. 31, and ends with a midnight champagne toast and balloon drop.

For those who would like to stay the night at the resort, Starr Pass is offering a special rate of $129 per night. To receive this rate, guests are asked to purchase jazz tickets and a resort room for the night through TucsonJazz.org. Booking early is advised, as this event will sell out.  

Tickets to the event — which also features a four-course dinner, dancing, silent auction and party favors — starts at $199 per person.
