The Scottsdale Convention & Visitors Bureau has launched a campaign to promote Scottsdale as a warm winter destination in New York, Canada and other top markets.
During February, three 42nd Street subway cars in New York will feature exterior and interior wraps depicting Scottsdale’s unique tourism assets. Riders will find themselves soaking up the sun of the Sonoran Desert, relaxing in a Scottsdale spa or taking a stroll around the golf course, thanks to the promotional materials. In addition, the sunny winter season will be promoted in New York through television commercials, radio spots, billboards and online and mobile ads.
Through March 31, Scottsdale’s local weather forecast will appear on Weather Channel Canada, including a weather-sensitive ad that will appear when the weather in the viewer’s area reaches a certain chilly temperature. Canadian Traffic Network in Toronto and Edmonton will also feature radio spots expected to reach more than 8 million listeners.
The bureau will also promote the Scottsdale winter season in Chicago, Denver and New York through Weather.com, which will feature a banner ad with Scottsdale temperatures on downloaded desktop and mobile apps.
