California Restaurant Month will return for its second year in January 2012, featuring special restaurant week or month-long promotions in nearly 30 California destinations.
This culinary promotion offers savings on meals at some of the best restaurants throughout the state, from mountain and coastal regions to urban areas and wine country. As a leading destination for culinary travel in the U.S., California tends to attract visitors with discerning palates. California Restaurant Month thus has the potential to draw increased travel to the state in 2012 through this additional culinary appeal.
Restaurant Month has grown 30 percent since its inaugural year, and 2012 will feature six new participating destinations: Camarillo, Pasadena, Redding, San Juan Capistrano, Santa Maria Valley and Simi Valley. This is in addition to the many participating areas throughout Northern, Central and Southern California, including:
Northern California: El Dorado County, Redding, Sacramento, Shasta Cascade, Yosemite Sierra
San Francisco Bay Area: Marin County, Mendocino, Napa Valley, Oakland, San Francisco, San Mateo, Tri-Valley, Yountville
Central Coast: Camarillo, Monterey County, Oxnard, San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara, Santa Maria, Santa Ynez Valley
