The newly renovated Carmel Valley Ranch in Carmel, Calif. has joined the Joie de Vivre Hospitality (JDV) collection of hotels and will be managed by JDV. The 139-suite property recently completed a major renovation which transformed the former gold and tennis resort by adding a 10,500 square-foot spa and offering such activities as hiking, yoga and wine tasting. The property sits on nearly 500 acres in the foothills of the Santa Lucia Mountains in Carmel Valley, backing up to 4,400 acres of Garland Ranch Regional Park, nearby to Carmel-by-the-Sea, Monterey and Big Sur. To celebrate its relaunch, the Carmel Valley Ranch is offering an introductory rate of $300 through Dec. 31.
