The city of Avalon, located on the easterly portion of Southern California’s Catalina Island, is celebrating its 100th birthday in 2013, and Catalina Express is celebrating with special offers and promotions. Catalina Express offers boat transportation to and from Catalina Island, and will offer the Avalon Centennial Planner throughout the year, with themed quarterly offerings filled with savings for visitors.
Each quarter, history, trivia, events, island secrets, deals, reviews, specials and promotions will be revealed on Catalina Express’ website and social media channels. From now through June 30, the theme is “Lights Camera Action: 100 Years of Hollywood, Island Style,” with offerings such as a summer concert series, buy-one-get-one-free adventure tours, a week of city celebrations starting June 20 and more. From July 1 to Sept. 30, the theme will be “Let Catalina Island Move You” for sports, adventure and eco-tour deals, and Oct. 1 to Dec. 31 will feature the theme “Salute the Arts Across the Sea: 22 Miles to Island Style Music, Art, Parties and Festivals."
In addition, Catalina Express is continuing its Free Roundtrip on Your Birthday promotion, saving adult passengers up to $74.50. Passengers must pre-register online to take advantage of the offer, which is available until April 30, 2014.
