A powerful storm hit the Eastern Sierra during the last weekend in October, dropping up to 18 inches of snow on Mammoth Mountain. By late Sunday, resort operators made the decision to open the slopes for skiing and riding on Monday, November 3, a full 10 days prior to schedule.

Mammoth’s high elevation and a firm commitment to the pursuit of playing big will pay off for skiers and snowboarders when Broadway Express opens at 9am on a base of 6-12 inches. A combination of natural and manmade snow will greet anxious riders for the first day on the slopes in California.

Special early season lift tickets are priced at $52 for adult, $39 for teens and $26 for children and seniors. First Tracks packages including lift tickets and lodging are available for as low as $99 per person per night based on double occupancy. Call 800.MAMMOTH or visit to book.
