The Harvest Inn, in Napa Valley, Calif., recently introduced a Food and Wine Boot camp to its selection of meeting packages for 2012. The one-day Food and Wine Boot Camp will provide basic training in the style of Napa Valley through an interactive cooking class at the Culinary Institute of America and wine tasting at an award-winning winery.

Designed to encourage team building and creative thinking to productive meetings, guests will be guided by a CIA-trained chef through a hands-on cooking class. At the conclusion of the class, guests will dine together at the Chef’s Table and enjoy the delectable lunch or dinner they’ve prepared along with a selection of wines paired specifically to their menu.

Guests can decide whether to start or finish their day with an hour-long private wine-tasting tour at Markham Vineyards or Frank Family Vineyards. Other package highlights include a luxurious guestroom with a bottle of local wine, access to the new Fitness Center and two heated outdoor swimming pools with spas, all day coffee, tea and water service and a Napa-style three course luncheon.

The cost of Harvest Inn’s Food and Wine Boot Camp is $629 through April 15; $679 through May 31; and $699 through Aug. 26.
