In a technological development appropriate for a city known for its diversity of delicious cuisine, the San Francisco Convention and Visitors Bureau (SFCVB) has launched a new micro-site dedicated to all things food-related. Within the broader official visitors’ Web site, the new TasteSF site offers guidance on San Francisco’s hottest restaurants, upcoming food events, a history of San Francisco cuisine and chef profiles. Especially appealing for visitors to the City by the Bay is the micro-site’s database of taste experiences, ranging from special food-related hotel packages to culinary walking tours and wine galleries. The SFCVB’s new TasteSF site also offers a special e-newsletter, available by online subscription, and the opportunity to enter a sweepstakes to win a trip for two to San Francisco.
