San Diego-based Pacifica Host Hotels recently assumed management of La Valencia Hotel, a historic hotel in La Jolla, Calif., and has the option to purchase the property.
The 113-room La Valencia is fondly known among locals as “The Pink Lady of La Jolla” and sits atop La Jolla Cove, overlooking the Pacific in the heart of downtown La Jolla. The property was built in 1926 and is a member of Preferred Hotels and Resorts Worldwide and Historic Hotels of America.
Pacifica Host Hotels is the hotel ownership and management arm of Pacifica Companies. Its portfolio comprises more than 30 properties in Arizona, California, Florida, Texas and Utah and represents brands such as Marriott, Hilton, Crowne Plaza, Holiday Inn, Holiday Inn Express, Wyndham and Best Western. Other assets include independent properties at the Grand Canyon, on Catalina Island, in San Diego and Florida.
