Air France has announced new flights to Los Angeles and Dubai on its Airbus A380. The airline will begin daily service to Los Angeles beginning May 28, 2012, making the city the third U.S. destination for the wide-body aircraft, which also serves New York City and Washington D.C.

The two daily flights between Los Angeles and Paris-Charles de Gaulle will be part of a transatlantic joint venture operated by Air France KLM, Alitalia and Delta.

Features of the Airbus include accommodations for up to 516 passengers in four classes, two decks, six bars located throughout the aircraft and a sophisticated lighting system designed to synchronize with time zone changes. The aircraft also makes use of the most advanced noise-reduction technology in order to provide guests with a quiet and relaxing atmosphere during their flight.

“We look forward to serving our passengers aboard one of our jewels to our two new destinations, providing even more comfort and relaxation, all with the differentiating Air France touch,” said Bruno Matheu, Air France commercial director.

The airline will also offer a daily flight from Paris-Charles de Gaulle to Dubai, beginning on Dec. 5, 2011, and continuing through the winter season.
