Loews Hotels & Resorts has agreed to purchase the Renaissance Hollywood Hotel, located at Hollywood and Highland, on June 16. The 632-room property will undergo a $26 million renovation beginning later this year, during which time it will remain open.
“We continually look to enhance our uniquely local guest experiences through our style of comfortable luxury and genuine service combined with properties in the best locations,” said Jonathan Tisch, chairman of Loews Hotels. “The Loews Hollywood Hotel embodies the essence of Los Angeles and the addition of our signature services and upgraded amenities will match the energy and vibrant culture of Hollywood.”
The hotel, which opened in 2001, features views of the Hollywood sign and Walk of Fame, and is conveniently located adjacent to the Hollywood & Highland shopping and entertainment center for access to shops, restaurants, nightclubs, movie screens, bars, bowling and more.
The upcoming renovation will enhance the hotel’s most defining features — the spa, pool terrace, restaurant and event space — adding the unique local touches that make Loews Hotels distinct.
