NYC & Company, the marketing, tourism and partnership organization for New York City, and American Airlines (AA) have recently partnered together to offer discounted airfare for fall travel from Los Angeles to New York City. Through this Friday, Aug. 21 until 11:59 p.m. (CDT), clients can purchase Economy Class tickets for the special rate of $109 each way. The discount applies for travel between Sept. 15 and Dec.12, but travel embargo dates on Nov. 21, 24, 25, 28 and Dec. 1 apply. Low rates are valid only for roundtrip travel and flights that depart on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Saturdays from Los Angeles or New York City. Seats are limited and fares do not apply on all flights.
NYC & Company and American Airlines are also offering discount rates to New York City from San Francisco, Miami, Dallas and Chicago. This marks the first time NYC & Company has joined with an airline to launch a domestic airfare promotion of this kind.
NYC & Company has also recently unveiled free travel itineraries for visitors interested in food, traveling with children or staying in New York City for only one or three days.
AA presently flies nine nonstop round trips a day between New York (JFK) and Los Angeles (LAX) on AA’s Boeing 767-200 wide-body aircraft in three-class configuration.
Fares are nontransferable, nonrefundable and do not include federal taxes, airport service charges, the Sept. 11 security fee or luggage charges. Fares are available through AA.com, but can be purchased through an AA Telephone Reservations Office for an additional $20 or at an AA Travel Center or Airport Ticket Office for an additional $30. Travel agents may impose an additional service charge for ticketing.
