This summer, the Chabot Space and Science Center is offering a series of family hikes. The hikes, which take place on Sundays on the sheltered trails of the Redwood Regional Park, are led by naturalists from the East Bay Regional Park District and explore the hidden, historic sites near Chabot, Calif.
Following the hikes, which are scheduled for Sunday, July 27, Aug. 10 and Aug. 24, families have the opportunity to bring earth and sky together by exploring the cosmos at Chabot with hands-on exhibits and interactive displays. Tickets are $5 plus general admission to Chabot Space & Science Center. Registration is available by phone. The center recommends closed-toe shoes, dressing in layers and bringing sunscreen and water. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
