Unlimited Free Activities on Catalina Island // (c) 2009

This summer, clients who visit Santa Catalina Island, Calif., can take advantage of a new vacation package that grants free admission to numerous tours and activities, as well as unlimited golf and movies, all with the purchase of a room and boat transportation.

The package consists of lodging at Santa Catalina Island Company’s Pavilion Lodge, located near the beach, or Hotel Atwater, at the center of town. Roundtrip transportation aboard the Catalina Express or Catalina Flyer will be available, with boats departing several times daily from Long Beach, San Pedro, Dana Point and Newport Beach.

Available for a limited time only, this bargain package starts out at $133 per person, per night, midweek and $185 per person, per night, on the weekend, with a two-night minimum.

Guests will have unlimited free access to exclusive Discovery Tour offerings, both on land and in the water. They can take a behind-the-scenes Casino Tour or drive through the island’s interior on the Skyline Drive tour. Water lovers can cruise five feet below the surface of the ocean through the Undersea Tour or take a nighttime cruise aboard the “Blanche W” on a flying fish boat trip.

Via this package, clients can take advantage of unlimited golf rounds at the historic nine-hole Catalina Island Golf Course, as well as at the newly renovated Golf Gardens miniature golf course in Avalon. They will also have admission to the Descanso Beach Club, a beachside restaurant and bar located just past the Casino building.

First-run movies at the Avalon Theatre will be shown for free, as well as weekend organ recitals on the antique Page Theater organ.
