Visitors can get a taste of life on the farm by taking advantage of unique stays and activities at these working Colorado farms:

Fresh and Wyld Farmhouse in Paonia is known for a commitment to locally grown food, and maintains its own vegetable gardens, chickens, goats, berry patch and apple trees to feed its guests. The Inn serves communal-style, home-cooked meals and offers classes in organic cooking, fermentation, butchery, farm school and heritage farm art.

Raindrop Retreat is a working farm in the foothills near the Poudre Canyon, with an orchard, gardens and a flock of chickens and turkeys. Raindrop welcomes guests to work the land, have a meal with homegrown organic produce and stay for the night.

Mesa Winds Farm is a 36-acre farm outside of Hotchkiss that produces organic peaches, apples, grapes, raspberries, asparagus, vegetables and honey. Visitors can lend a hand with farm work, dine on organic food and take advantage of orchard camping opportunities.

Canyon of the Ancients Guest Ranch is a working farmstead that offers organic gardens and free range eggs. Guests can select their own vegetables for dinner and participate in daily chores such as feeding animals, weeding gardens, irrigation and more. U-pick gardens and a produce stand are also open to the public.
