First-Ever Voluntourism Conference

On June 28, Denver, Colo., will be home to one of the first conferences on voluntourism. Topics of discussion will include issues and best practices surrounding issues such as providing healthcare, teaching, clean water, community development, construction and sustainability.

The organizer of the event, Alexia Nestora, a voluntourism industry visionary and consultant helping providers with strategy and monitoring of industry trends, is also the author of the popular travel blog Voluntourism Gal. By facilitating this conference Nestora hopes to encourage more partnerships and more dialogue.

The day-long event will run from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Cambria Suites Denver Airport Hotel. Cost is $100 per person, and rooms at the Cambria Suites can be booked for $109 per night.
