Frontier Airlines recently announced that it has added a new route to Costa Rica, adding service between Costa Rica’s Daniel Oduber Quiros International of Liberia (LIR) to its hub, the Denver International Airoport.

Service will begin on Feb. 13, 2011 with weekly, nonstop flights onboard an Airbus A319 aircraft. Flights from Denver to Liberia leave at 8:25 a.m., arriving at 2:35 p.m. Liberia to Denver service departs Costa Rica at 3:25 p.m. and flights arrive in Denver at 8:10 p.m.

“The addition of this new route to Liberia from Denver is ideal for Costa Rica because it will offer more travel options to a market that is very important to the growth of our tourism offering,” said Carlos Ricardo Benavides, minister of tourism for Costa Rica. “Denver is abundant with travelers that connect with Costa Rica’s core travel offerings — adventure and nature — and this new opportunity will help to make that relationship stronger.”
