In honor of Earth Hour, an annual international event, St. Julien Hotel & Spa and the city of Boulder are encouraging visitors, local residents and business owners to save energy by turning off all nonessential lighting for one hour on Saturday, March 28 from 8:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Boulder is currently the only city in the state confirmed to participate in this campaign for climate change.

In celebration of this event, St. Julien Hotel & Spa is hosting a soy-based candlelit Earth Hour Happy Hour from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m., with entertainment provided by Boulder-based solo artist Phil Robinson.

Last year, iconic landmarks all around the world turned off their nonessential lighting, including the Empire State Building, Sears Tower, Golden Gate Bridge, Sydney Opera House, the Colosseum, London’s City Hall and the Space Needle.
